CTS Rod Blank Series Explained
CTS uses three distinct technology levels, Sport, Professional and Tournament, to explain it entire rod blank series. Each range will have the same overall action, but the varying technology levels dictate the blank's overall dimensions, responsiveness and weight.  CTS' entry level Sport series uses 100% carbon with scrim backing. This level is best described as the industry standard, and the blanks at this level are solid, great performing and well priced.
At this level CTS introduces its unique carbon spiral (helical) core. This level can truly boast a 100% carbon construction with no scrim based materials. Their carbon helical improves the cross sectional stability of the blank, improving its responsiveness at strike and its power in high loading situations.
CTS' Pro series blanks are around 10–15% lighter than their Standard series and exceed the performance of carbon scrim based products.    
This level is truly ‘state of the art’. The Tournament series uses CTS' carbon spiral/helical core and their latest ‘Modulus Replacement Technology’ (MRT).
This new type of construction enables CTS to place totally different modulus materials at each part of the blank. Unlike traditional multi-modulus systems which lay materials of differing modulus together, CTS' new MRT system is all together different, taking blank manufacture to a new level.
CTS' Tournament series is around 15-20% lighter than their Professional series.
