Fuji - ACS Bait Casting Graphite Reel Seat - ACS-SD The Fuji ACS bait casting trigger reel seat was first released in 2007 to meet the ever-increasing demand for better casting accuracy, comfort and performance and it represents a major improvement over earlier designs in both form and function.
By ergonomically sculpturing the shape of the reel seat’s hand-hold and modifying the position of the trigger for better grip and control, the angler is able to hold the ACS reel seat in a more comfortable and relaxed position when aligning the tip of the rod with the direction of the cast. This important design enhancement will help in improving casting accuracy whilst eliminating fatigue from building up in the casting arm and wrist.
To reduce weight and improve on sensitivity, Fuji has incorporated three design elements into the Fuji ACS reel seat.
(1) The first consists of internal rib bushings within the internal walls of the reel seat that remove/minimize the use of arbors/tape and bonding resin (that add additional weight and rob sensitivity);
(2) The second consist of a notched trigger to shave off unnecessary weight; and
(3) The third is a cutout section in the base of the reel seat that exposes the blank.
As a sum of these design elements, rod blank and ACS reel seat are transformed into a single unit in the casting hand of the angler and any nibble will be messaged down the length of blank and transmitted to the angler through the exposed side of the blank.
If you are looking to build a light weight, light game, performance bait casting rod on any of our CTS bait casting blanks, we strongly recommend that you consider using Fuji’s ACS reel seat.
