Built from the ground up and not bastardized from a pre-existing bass blank, the CTS EBX blank range was designed specifically for giant snakehead fishing in South East Asia, where these species can reach in excess of 7kg or more.
Feedback from both Thai and Singapore snakehead anglers, including valuable industry input from the owners of Lures Factory and Siam Spoon (Thai manufacturers of premium grade snakehead lures), formed the basis of the design requirements that Stephen Pratt of CTS worked to in producing our CTS EBX blank range.
The CTS EBX blank range incorporates CTS’ Tournament grade technology to produce a powerful, one piece, extra fast action blank that will ensuring casting accuracy and hook setting ability with the flick of the wrist.
The latest pre-preg carbon blends and scrimless technology have been incorporated into the design of the CTS EBX blank range, to ensure both tip sensitivity and lightness in feel, whilst achieving robustness and necessary give that will meet the gruff style of the local snakehead angler.
Given the provocative method and style of catching this species of fish, we have aptly named our CTS EBX blank range after our local snakehead angler - “Le Provocateur – Snake Head” (a.k.a. "The Snakehead Provoker!")

CTS builds their rod blanks to the highest possible standards to try to ensure that they are free of defects and that they are able to function within their design parameters to guarantee user satisfaction.
However, as with any other make of rod blank, breakages do happen, be it as a result of defects in materials and/or workmanship, or from improper usage by the angler.
Regardless of how the breakage arises, Eastackle Pte Ltd shall grant the purchaser a non-transferrable, 1 year limited warranty to replace the original broken blank only once during this time period (i.e. within 1 year from the time of purchase) at 50% of the purchase price of the blank (i.e. the purchaser need only pay 50% of the purchase price of the original blank to replace the broken blank) on presentation of (a) the broken original blank to Eastackle Pte Ltd accompanied by a brief note on the circumstances leading up to the breakage of the blank (that may be used as feedback to CTS to make improvements on future versions of the blank) and (b) a valid purchase receipt as proof of purchase of the original blank from Eastackle Pte Ltd.
For the avoidance of doubt, this limited warranty shall not apply to the replacement blank, nor shall it cover any shipment cost related to the replacement of the original blank. Neither shall this limited warranty cover any cost incurred by the purchaser that is related to the rebuilding of the rod with the replacement blank nor shall it cover any cost related to the replacement of any of the components of the rebuilt rod (e.g. guides, tip top, reel seat, handle sections etc).
