The Ocean Ruler OR Weedless Sinker RG, as it name suggests, is a “weedless” jig head designed in the shape of a banana, that not only maintains a stable position on the sea bed to keep the hook point of the fly rig facing upwards, but is shaped in such a manner that enables the rock fishing angler to pull the jig head over snags and obstructions (see first video below).
This jig head comes with a unique quick release tail clip (5 - 20 grams), that allows the rock fisherman to rapidly change lures (e.g. fly hooks, soft plastics etc) that are attached this clip.
For the 30 and 40 gram sized Ocean Ruler OR Weedless Sinker RG jig heads, the quick release tail clip is replaced with a solid lug and an additional lug point is included that is situated on the dorsal side to gives the light game rock fishing angler the option to attach a variety of lures at the different lug positions depending on the snagginess of the terrain.
It is the same weedless jig head that is used with Ocean Ruler’s AR-Rock Fish Ultimate and KR-Bottom Fish Ultimate rock fishing jigs.
For best results, consider pairing the OR-Weedless Sinker RG, would be ideally paired up with Ocean Ruler’s KR-Firefly Kasago Saltwater Fly.
